Being a Cadet is a great opportunity for High Schoolers to connect with their community and get a taste of work in the medical field. Cadets and Adult volunteers complete the same amount of coursework and classes to become EMTs.
Cadet member requirements:
Between the ages of 16 and 18 (once a Cadet turns 18 they become an adult member).
Cadets are not responsible for responding to calls between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Cadets do not respond if the caller is of High School age.
Cadet membership requires a dedication to the first aid squad. Cadet members are expected to respond to calls, attend meetings, and help in biweekly rig checks.
